Thirusha Naidoo is a Lecturer and PhD candidate in the College of Health, School of Social Work at Massey University, Aotearoa New Zealand.  Thirusha is mixed-heritage South African Indian raised in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her social work background includes Hospital Social Work and Community and Non-Government Organisations across direct practice, teaching, training, and supervision.

Thirusha’s PhD is focused on exploring the use of digital technologies in social work practice and education.  She is actively engaged in other research areas including indigenous, cultural, and ethnic studies. Thirusha is passionate and committed to working with people across disciplines to promote collaboration and participation in service development.
