English language programmes
If you need to improve your English language skills in order to meet requirements for admission to Massey, our English language pathway programmes will give you the necessary skills for admission and successful study. All classes are tailored to students English language level with content related to the programme of study they wish to pursue. The focus is on the key skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.

This includes the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the Occupational English Test (OET).

Costs and fees
As an International Student, you need to carefully consider and plan for the cost of studying at Massey University. The fees differ according to the degree or qualification you wish to apply for and whether you study in New Zealand on a Massey University campus or from overseas by distance education. Fees must be paid before you start your programme of study.

Financial assistance and scholarships
A range of scholarships and financial assistance packages are available to international students studying at Massey University.

Insurance
All international students are required by the NZ Ministry of Education to be covered by appropriate and current medical and travel insurance. The insurance must cover you for the duration of your planned period of study in New Zealand.

PhD tuition policy
The New Zealand Government has approved a policy for new international student Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) applicants that offers international students the same level of tuition fees as New Zealand domestic students.
