Time Limits
The maximum time permitted for the completion of qualifications is determined by your full-time or part-time study.
Bachelor degrees with Honours
Full-time students must complete all requirements within one year of first enrolling.
Part-time students must complete all requirements within three consecutive years of first enrolling.
240 credit Masterate degrees
Students must complete all requirements within six consecutive years of first enrolling for the degree.
In order to be eligible for Honours, students must complete within a reduced timeframe, and achieve minimum pre-determined standards:
- Full-time students must complete all requirements within two consecutive years.
- Part-time students must complete all requirements within five consecutive years.
- Change of enrolment – full-time to part-time or vice versa. Students who change their enrolment prior to commencing a thesis must complete all requirements within four consecutive years.
180 credit Masterate degrees
Students must complete all requirements within five consecutive years of first enrolling for the degree.
In order to be eligible for Distinction or Merit, students must complete within a reduced timeframe, and achieve minimum pre-determined standards:
- Full-time students must complete all requirements within 18 consecutive months.
- Part-time students must complete all requirements within four consecutive years.
- Change of enrolment – full-time to part-time or vice versa. Students who change their enrolment prior to commencing a thesis must complete all requirements within three consecutive years.
120 credit Masterate degrees (thesis only or direct entry to Part Two)
Students must complete all requirements within four consecutive years of first enrolling for the degree.
In order to be eligible for Distinction or Merit, students must complete within a reduced timeframe, and achieve minimum pre-determined standards:
- Full-time students must complete all requirements within one year of first enrolling.
- Part-time students must complete all requirements within three consecutive years of first enrolling.
Postgraduate Diplomas
Students must complete all requirements within four consecutive calendar years of first enrolling for the qualification.
In order to be eligible for Distinction or Merit, students must complete within a reduced timeframe, and achieve minimum pre-determined standards:
- Full-time students must complete all requirements within one year of first enrolling.
- Part-time students must complete all requirements within three consecutive years of first enrolling.
Postgraduate Certificates
Students must complete all requirements within two consecutive years of first enrolling for the qualification.
