Māori Services - What We Can Do For You

Finding Information

Māori Services Librarians offer support, advice and training for Māori staff and students in the use of the Library's collections and services. Assistance is available for clients experiencing difficulties in using Māori print and electronic resources. Help is also available to Māori staff and students who need to access non-Māori resources.

Māori remote students are welcome to Contact Us, or the Māori Services Librarians directly, for help in finding information.  The Māori Services Librarians also work on the Service Points at the Auckland and Manawatū Libraries on a regular basis.

One on One Appointments

Available to staff and post-graduate students who are undertaking theses and research projects.

If you're having difficulty locating materials on a particular topic, would like personal assistance in negotiating the Massey University libraries and electronic resources, or simply need help beginning the research process -- we can help! We offer individual appointments. Sessions can include identifying appropriate resources (in various formats) and mapping out research strategies.

You can meet either with a Subject Librarian responsible for the academic department you are studying in or a member of the Māori Services team. To request an appointment, please contact a Subject Librarian or a member of the Māori Services team. If you are a remote student or from the Auckland or Wellington campus and wish to consult with a member of the Māori Services team, your appointment may be conducted online using Adobe Connect software, phone or via email. Adobe Connect sessions require a broadband connection so that screen sharing can take place.
