Library Services for Alumni Members

Alumni membership is available to individuals who are graduates of Massey University. Retired and former staff who are not also graduates of Massey University are not considered as alumni by the Library. Retired staff and professors emeriti have their own membership category

Cost

$100 per year, or $50 for 6 months. Membership is for 6 or 12 months from the date of payment.

Application

Please submit the Alumni Membership and Payment form. You can renew your membership using the same form.

If you are unable to pay by credit card, please contact us

  • Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a letter containing your Library card and instructions to log in to your Library account to create a password. (Overseas members will receive this information via email).
  • Membership is not transferrable; please do not share your card or login details with anyone else.
  • We will send you a membership renewal reminder about one month prior to expiry date.

Registering for membership implies acceptance of the Library’s Alumni Membership Terms and Conditions.

Borrowing Books

Alumni who are resident in New Zealand may borrow books in person from any Massey Campus Library. Requested books will be couriered out to home addresses (New Zealand only). More information about the courier delivery service

Alumni who are resident in New Zealand have the same borrowing conditions as an Undergraduate student.

Overdue fines will be charged.

Access to Electronic Databases, Ejournals and Ebooks

Membership entitles alumni to access selected online journal articles and ebooks in databases such as Academic Search Alumni, Business Source Alumni, Project Muse, and Annual Reviews.

Not all content available to enrolled students is available to alumni - only that content which is allowed in publisher licences.

Delivery of Massey Library Journal Articles and Borrowing from Other Libraries

You may be entitled to delivery of Massey Library journal articles or to borrow from other libraries. Look up your Alumni entitlements
