For students who encounter financial difficulties, help is on hand. The University has a number of people available to assist you with budgeting and StudyLink related issues.
It's really important to start thinking about your finances before it becomes an issue. The people below will be able to directly assist you with your budget or refer you to external budgeting services if required.

Budget advisors can assist you with the following:
Campus Information Service staff on each campus are the StudyLink liasion point for internal students at the University. Distance students are assisted by the Fees and Financial Support unit - firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can assist you with information about student loans and allowances and making sure your enrolment is consistent with eligibility requirements. We are the designated point for sign off of all StudyLink supplementary forms and can ensure you are getting your full entitlement. We work closely with StudyLink to ensure you receive appropriate assistance and to resolve Student Loan and Student Allowance problems.
Tip: You may notice that StudyLink uses an EFTS (Equivalent Full-Time Student) system whereas Massey uses a credit system to measure the full-time status. To convert your Massey credits into EFTS, you may simply divide the total number of credits by 120. For example, 15 credits is equivalent to 0.125 EFTS. For an average Massey student, being full-time is 48+ credits over one semester, or 96+ credits over a year (exceptions may apply).
