Dr Megan Young

Lecturer

School of Psychology

Megan's research interests are broadly focussed around disability, chronic illness, and neurodivergence, with a particular interest in how these experiences intersect with our working lives. Having completed an undergraduate degree in English Literature before moving into psychology, Megan brings a distinctive interdisciplinary foundation to her work. This includes utiising storytelling, narrative inquiry, and other creative methodologies to investigate how we make meaning out of our lives, and challenging the ways that research captures — or fails to capture — the complexity of embodied experience.
