Vicki Karaminas is Professor of Fashion at the College of Creative Arts, Massey University New Zealand. She is the president and chair of fashion for the Popular Culture Association of Australia and New Zealand (2012–2015) and the treasurer and chair of Subcultural Style and Identity for the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association. Her book publications include The Men’s Fashion Reader (Berg, 2009); Fashion in Fiction: Text and Clothing in Literature, Film and Television (Berg, 2009); Fashion and Art (Bloomsbury, 2012); Queer Style (Bloomsbury, 2013); Shanghai Street Style (Intellect, 2013); Fashion in Popular Culture: Literature, Media and Contemporary Studies (Intellect, 2013) and Sydney Street Style (Intellect, 2014 in press). She is the principle editor (with Joseph Hancock) of the journal Fashion, Style and Popular Culture (Intellect, Bristol). She is the co-creature of the niche fashion label OPUS9 with Justine Taylor.
