  • New Zealand Veterinary Association Outstanding Service Award. Presented for contributions to the NZ veterinary profession over the past 14 years and ongoing. Presented at NZVA annual conference in Hamilton on 23rd June 2011. Quotes from the citation read by Richard Wild (President of the NZVA) include "The word to describe Jenny Weston's interaction with the profession is 'involved'. Jenny has been an active member of the profession since she graduated and has served in many roles with energy and enthusiasm", "Jenny has shown great commitment and passion for her profession and her association over many years". - (2007)
  • Young Dairy Scientist Communication Award - winner of oral presentation, second for written presentation and overall winner of the competition. Held in conjunction with the Large Herds' Association Conference in Ashburton 30 March-3rd April 2009. This prize related to a presentation of my research on the risk of abortion in heifers infected with Neospora caninum and was used to demonstrate capability in communicating research findings to a farmer audience. The competition comprised writing an article for the "Dairy Exporter", an oral presentation at the Large Herds' Conference and a poster presentation at the same conference. The aim of the competition is ensuring that the results of research relevant to the NZ dairy industry are conveyed to the people who can ultimately make use of them. - (2009)
  • Promotion to 4* FEI endurance veterinarian. This promotion was made in December 2008 an is ongoing. Attaining this level requires regular attendance at seminars, passing an examination and regular participation in vetting endurance rides at the highest level. - (2008)
