Patrick is from Geneva in Switzerland. He gained both is undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Animal Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. He was Head geneticist at the Swiss Pig Breeding Centre before moving downunder in the early nineties for a postdoctoral fellowship with the New Zealand Medical Research Council. Since then, Patrick has been involved in many disciplines of Animal Science and across many species, as it can be seen in its publications list.
